Use of Baking Soda as a Fungicide (Summary)

There has been considerable interest in the use of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate, NaHCO₃) and potassium bicarbonate (KHCO₃) to control powdery mildew and other fungal diseases of plants. This publication provides a brief survey of observations, research, and recommendations on the use of bicarbonates in horticulture.
