Basic Chemistry of Biodiesel: a Curriculum for Agricultural Producers (Summary)

This workshop curriculum was prepared by Piedmont Biofuels for the National Center for Appropriate Technology, with funding and cooperation from the USDA Risk Management Agency. The curriculum explains the basic chemistry of fats, oils, and transesterification, and includes step-by-step instructions and safety precautions for making a small batch of biodiesel.
